¡Semana seeeeis!

This week has been so fun! I can´t believe I´m leaving in just a few days. But I think I´m ready :) My companions say I talk in Spanish in my sleep so that must be a good sign :D

This week it rained pretty hard. One night I was running through puddles trying to get to the classroom cuz I forgot my umbrella. I took a corner too hard, slipped and just bit it! :D Some Latino Sisters ran up to me and asked if I was okay. In shock and pain I tried to ask "Did you see me fall?" but all that came out was "¿Ver me?" Which translates to "See me?" :D Luckily they understood and said yes, then kindly asked if this was my first week. With what little pride I could muster, laying on the wet ground in my suit after falling straight onto my back, I said "¡¡Semana seeeeeeis!!" (week six) Haha I hope I´m more ready for the field than I seemed to those sisters :D

I've grown very close to my district and we´re constantly laughing and making jokes, it´ll be hard to leave them. But the next time I write I´ll be in the capitol! Till then!

My First Investigator!!

¡Hola! This week was a great week to be a missionary just like the rest :)

There´s something here called TLC every Saturday where members come in from wards in the area and pretend to be investigators. They speak no English and we have to find their needs and teach them. This last Saturday was our first TLC and right before it started our teacher came into our little room and told our companionship (at least I think this is what he said cuz, Spanish :D) "I need a huge favor from you guys, one of the members brought a real investigator and I need you guys to teach him. I have a lot of confidence in you, you can do it!" and then he left.. I was thinking "bruh....DO YOU SEE HOW WHITE I AM? I DON'T HABLO ESPAÑOL!"

The investigator came in and we began to try to get to know him a little. He knew absolutely nothing about the church so we had to start with the basics but the spirit was so incredibly strong! I only understood a little of what he was saying but it was enough. I bore my testimony and it just flowed with phrases I had never used before. The gift of tongues is real!! We didn't have an extra Book of Mormon with us so we just gave him one of our leather triples :D

It was an amazing experience. Send me to D.C. right now, I´m so pumped! :D

We also got to hear from 3 of the apostles this week. Two in film and one live. Elder Holland yelled at us and made us feel the spirit like crazy somehow :D

Halloween was fun! We've gotten more candy than any of us hoped :D

But yeah, pretty much just an amazing week! I love all of you!! You´re amazing, don´t forget to pray always. And remember that true joy is found in seeking the happiness of others :)
